Areas we cover around Avonmouth
We cover Avonmouth and a 10-mile radius across north-west Bristol and the Severnside villages. Open 24/7.
Avonmouth
Avonmouth sits on the north bank of the mouth of the River Avon, on the Severn Estuary. It grew from farmland after the railway and pier arrived in the 1860s, and Avonmouth Dock opened in 1877. Today it is mostly industrial, with the village between the docks, the Portway and the M5. We work in homes and in the warehouses, units and offices around the docks.
Shirehampton
Shirehampton is Avonmouth’s neighbour to the east, and Avonmouth was part of Shirehampton parish until 1917. Across the river lies Pill. We cover Shirehampton for leaks, blocked drains, toilets, taps, pipework and radiators.
Lawrence Weston
Lawrence Weston shares a council ward with Avonmouth and lies about a mile to the east. Much of it was built as a council estate in the late 1940s and early 1950s, and the old hamlet of Kingsweston is now part of it. Homes of that era often have original pipework that has been patched and extended over the decades.
Severn Beach, Hallen and Severnside
North of Avonmouth, up the A403, lie Hallen and Severn Beach in South Gloucestershire. Like Avonmouth, this is low-lying land beside the estuary, protected by sea defences that the Avonmouth and Severnside flood defence project has been strengthening. We cover homes and businesses all along this stretch.
Sea Mills and further afield
Sea Mills is nearby, beyond Shirehampton. We also cover Henbury, Westbury-on-Trym and the rest of north-west Bristol. If you’re not sure whether you’re in our area, ring and ask.

Water and sewers here
Water supply in Bristol comes from Bristol Water, now part of South West Water. Wessex Water runs the sewers, and its Avonmouth works is the largest in its region, treating wastewater from across Bristol. If water is leaking in the pavement before your external stop tap, that’s Bristol Water’s to fix. If a shared drain is blocked, it may be Wessex Water’s. We can help you work out which.
